Half a Dozen Hospitality podcast: my conversation with Brad Bodnarchuk

Earlier this summer, I was overjoyed and honoured to get an email from Vancouver's Brad Bodnarchuk, asking if I'd join him on his weekly Half a Dozen Hospitality podcast.

Surely, he had the wrong address?

Even if he did, he nevertheless graciously invited me to his home recording studio in East Van to have a conversation about food, dining, Vancouver's restaurant industry, and more--even personal hapiness and what motivates people, what is their "why".

Bodnarchuk, who's a devoted husband and a proud papa to a newborn, started his podcast at the end of May, driven simply by his passion for food and people. He's been interested in the hospitality industry ever since he was a teen, and he loves telling and sharing people's stories.

He is determined to speak with anyone who works in the hospitality space, whether they're chefs, servers, designers, dishwashers, entrepreneurs...even lowly food columnists.

Bodnarchuk has already sat down with Sasha and Elsie Born of the superb Batard Bakery, Janna Bishop of GRAIN, chef/savvy businessperson Reuben Major (Belgard Kitchen), and many more; he has also done a joint review of the newly opened Popina Cantina. He's warm, engaging, friendly, informed, interested, and interesting.
